Family Day weekend events in Prince George

There are several Family Day weekend events that will be held in PG.

Here are some of them:

PG Cougars vs Seattle Thunderbirds:

The Prince George Cougars will be hosting the Seattle Thunderbirds at the CN Centre Monday at 3 PM in their Cougars Fight Cancer game.

The game will feature a Mega 50/50 Jackpot, with a starting amount of $60,000 supporting the BC Cancer Foundation.

The Cougars will be wearing special jerseys to be auctioned off, also supporting the BC Cancer Foundation.

The Cougars will also be hosting their division rivals, the Kamloops Blazers Friday night.

Family Day Free Skate:

The City of Prince George will be hosting a free, Family Day skate at Kopar Memorial Arena from noon until 2:00 pm.

Admission is free, and skate and helmet rentals are available.

This event was made possible with a grant from the BC Government.

Ness Lake Bible Camp Family Day:

Ness Lake Bible Camp will have another Family Day event, featuring several activities including the climbing wall, gym activities, sledding, and more.

Fire pits will be available with self-serve hotdogs, s’mores and bannock, as well as a soup and bun lunch.

Families will have to pre-register each person who is coming, as there will be limited space.

Primetime Wrestling: (Friday and Saturday)

Primetime Wrestling will be hosting their first two shows at the Prince George Civic Centre.

These shows will be raising funds for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

Downtown Winterfest: (Saturday)

Downtown Winterfest returns to Canada Games Plaza, featuring:

• Ice slides and sculptures
• Winter games
• A smore competition
• A pancake breakfast and lunch at the Legion
• An outdoor food court
• Street hockey
• A mini rail
