Where to go for New Year’s in Northwest Arkansas, River Valley
ARKANSAS, USA — The annual tradition where we say goodbye to the old and hello to the new is quickly approaching. It won’t be long before we share a kiss or link arms with family and friends to sing, “Should old acquaintances be forgotten/ And never brought to mind?” to welcome a New Year. Although New Year’s Eve lands on a Sunday this year, there are opportunities all across 5COUNTRY to celebrate the age-old tradition of welcoming in a New Year.
Fort Smith
2024 New Year’s Eve Ball Drop
- When: From 8 p.m. to 12: 30 a.m. on Dec. 31.
- Where: Downtown Fort Smith, on 6th Street and Garrison Avenue in the First National Bank parking lot
- What: The annual ball drop will host Arkansans in Fort Smith’s Downtown to ring in 2024. There will be live music by DJ Funwick, a photo booth area, and fireworks at midnight.
- Admission: Free.
Brew Year’s Eve at the Brewery
- When: From 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Dec. 31.
- Where: Fort Smith Brewing Company, 7500 Fort Chaffee Boulevard
- What: This Brew Year’s Eve, Fort Smith Brewing Company will host its annual 10,000 balloon drop at midnight with a complimentary champagne toast, a DJ, and their local craft beer.
- Admission: Free. No reservations are required.
Van Buren
New Year’s Eve at Pointer Brewery
- When: From 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Dec. 31.
- Where: Pointer Brewery, 621 Main Street
- What: Van Buren’s first brewery, according to their website, is hosting a New Year’s Eve party in the heart of Downtown Van Buren.
- Admission: Free.
Bentonville
Rock the Bells: New Year’s Eve Party!
- When: Doors will open at 9 p.m. and the show is set to open at 10 p.m. on Dec. 31.
- Where: Bentonville Taproom, 109 S Main Street
- What: Visit Bentonville describes the event as “a night of strictly old-school Hip-Hop, House, and electro breaks and beats.” They will host two DJs, dance battles, cyphers, and crown the best-dressed attendee at midnight. Wear your best street year to win a prize when the New Year hits.
- Admission: $15 for entry. Must be at least 21 years old to be admitted.
New Year’s “Eevee” at Meteor Guitar Gallery
- When: From 7 p.m. to midnight on Dec. 30.
- Where: Meteor Guitar Gallery, 128 W Central Avenue
- What: The Pokémon-themed party will have live music, vendors, and a costume contest. Meteor will host multiple bands, including Fight Dream, Sloeth’n Steady, The Big Sad, The Misdemeanors, Avery Lee, and Samantha Hunt, on the eve before New Year’s Eve. Bring your Pokémon playing cards and trading devices.
- Admission: Tickets are $30, but will increase to $35 on Dec. 30.
Amazeum’s Zing in the New Year
- When: Dec. 31, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Where: Scott Family Amazeum, 1009 Museum Way
- What: Amazeum welcomes families to explore music, sound, and geology for New Year’s Eve. To conclude the year, there will be a “wishZing” station to set your New Year’s intentions.
- Admission: Members can get in for free. Kids under 2 years old get in for free. Adults and children tickets to be admitted into the Amazeum are $12.
Fayetteville
New Year’s Eve Party for Old People
- When: Dec. 31 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. “Ball Ross” drop will be at 6 p.m.
- Where: Crisis Brewing Company, 210 S Archibald Yell Boulevard
- What: Despite the event’s title, all ages are welcome to ring in the New Year a little early. If you plan to attend, be sure to bundle up because the party will spill out to the outdoor seating area. Crisis Brewing will be serving red and white wine, prosecco, sparking water, cider, hard seltzers, non-alcoholic beer, and root beer. There will also be Margaret’s Food Truck from 3 p.m. until supplies last. Wear glitter and sequins!
- Admission: First come, first serve. No reservations are necessary.
Now That’s What I Call A New Year’s Party at JJ’s Live!
- When: Starting at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31 and lasting until 2 a.m. into the New Year.
- Where: JJ’s Live, 3615 Steele Boulevard
- What: JJ’s Live will host Lost Wax and DJ Zero Cool to ring in 2024.
- Admission: Only $25 standing-room tickets are available. Must be at least 21 years old to be admitted.
The Piano Bar New Year’s Eve Bash
- When: Doors open at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31.
- Where: The Piano Bar, 230 W Dickson Street
- What: Seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. A ticket will include a champagne toast and party favors.
- Admission: Tickets are $35 and $40 at the door. Must be at least 21 years old to be admitted.
New Year’s Eve at George’s Majestic Lounge
- When: The Full House NYE Happy Hour Concert starts at 6 p.m. and the NYE Bash with Arkansauce and Friends with Feed the Dog starts at 9 p.m.
- Where: George’s Majestic Lounge, 519 W Dickson St
- What: The live music venue is hosting two different events on New Year’s Eve: The Full House band will perform with a special NYE Happy Hour and Arkansauce and Friends with Feed the Dog will play for the lounge’s NYE Bash.
- Admission: Full House tickets: $15-18. Arkansauce tickets: $20-25.
Sip ‘N Paint New Year’s Eve Party
- When: From 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Dec. 31
- Where: Six Twelve Coffeehouse & Bar, 3980 W Wedington Drive
- What: Six Twelve’s first-ever New Year’s Eve party will host a sip-n-paint party with a live DJ, photo booth, drinks, and food. The sip-n-paint will be from 8 p.m. to 10: 30 p.m. and led by MY-T-BY-DESIGN.
- Admission: Entry is free. $25 to paint and art supplies will be provided. All ages are welcome.
Glow in the Dark New Year’s Eve Party
- When: From 8 p.m. on Dec 31 to “the wee hours of the morning” on Jan. 1.
- Where: Nomads West End, 339 N West Ave #3
- What: Nomads West End will have UV paint, black lights, a DJ, and dancing to ensure partygoers glow into the New Year. They will have $10 bottles of house champagne, $30 bottles of Belaire champagne, and $10 mimosa buckets.
- Admission: Free to enter.
Mad Rooster’s New Year’s Party
- When: Dec. 31, from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
- Where: Mad Rooster Beer Co., 1107 S West Avenue
- What: Mad Rooster is offering unlimited local craft beer and hors d’oeuvres to ring in the New Year.
- Admission: $45 per person. Entry is only provided to those who purchase a ticket.
Springdale
New Year’s Celebration at Bauhaus Biergarten
- When: Festivities begin at 6 p.m. on Dec. 30.
- Where: Bauhaus Biergarten, 326 Holcomb St
- What: Enjoy traditional German beer and food at the Bauhaus Biergarten’s New Year’s Celebration. The German-inspired spot will offer drink and food specials as well as music.
- Admission: Free entry.
Rogers
New Year’s Eve with Artisan Woodfired Kitchen
- When: From 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Dec. 30.
- Where: Artisan Woodfired Kitchen, 2203 S. Promenade Blvd Suite 3110
- What: Artisan Woodfired Kitchen will of course have their wood-fired dishes, but they will also have live music from Jenna and the Soul Shakers and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight to ring in the New Year.
- Admission: Tickets are available from $30-75.
Natural Dam
New Year’s Eve Bulls and Broncs
- When: The show starts at 7 p.m. Dec. 31.
- Where: Rafter J Hero’s Arena, 14445 State Hwy 59
- What: The family-friendly, fourth annual event, presented by the Crossroads Cowboy Church, will feature over 70 bull and bronc riders as well as mini bull riding for the younger cowboys and cowgirls.
- Admission: Free admission and free parking.
