There are two big music festivals this weekend in the Jacksonville area: Winterland in downtown and the Community First Seawalk Music Festival in Jacksonville Beach. Between them, 39 acts will take the stage. Both are open to all ages and are free, but you can buy VIP tickets if you like. Here’s what you need to know about them.
Where is Winterland?
Winterland will be held at James Weldon Johnson Park in downtown Jacksonville. Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Who is playing at Winterland?
Acts scheduled to appear Friday are Visitation, Thelma and the Sleaze, Kairos Creature Club, Wombo and Blonde Redhead. On Saturday, Huan, Ebonique, Rude Television, Rambler Kane, Laney Tripp, Ava Mendoza, Bebe Deluxe, Ebony Payne English and Caroline Rose are scheduled to play. Sunday’s lineup includes Yaupon Holly, Soap Bar, Coyboi, Bobby Kid, Erica Reese, Seagate, the Dreambows, K.utie, Donzii, Isaiah Collier and the Osees.
How much are tickets to Winterland?
The festival is free, but VIP tickets are available for $45.32 for each day or $113.30 for the full festival.
Where is the Seawalk Music Festival?
It’s at Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach. Music starts at noon Saturday and 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Who is playing at the Seawalk Music Festival?
On Saturday, Midnight Sun, Hello Sister, the Taylor Roberts Quintet, Julia Gulia, the Curt Towne Band and the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are on the bill. Sunday’s lineup includes the Grindstone Sinners, Woody and the Peckers, Smokestack, the Second Shot Band and the US2 U2 Tribute Experience.
How much are tickets to the Seawalk Music Festival?
The festival is free. VIP seats are available for $30.
