Henrico County Public Schools adds holiday in March that was unused for inclement weather

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico County Public Schools has announced that it will add a staff and student holiday to the 2023 through 2024 school calendar that was previously “banked” for inclement weather.

According to the school system, the staff and student holiday will occur on Friday, March 29. The holiday will use time that had been set aside for snow days and other unexpected events.

Because the additional Friday holiday falls just before the division’s Spring Break, the April 1 through April 5 break will begin a day earlier.
