5 fun events to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on the South Shore

QUINCY – From a parade in what may be the most Irish town in America to a 5k road race, the South Shore goes all out for St. Patrick’s Day.

It’s time to break out your green clothing, Irish or not. Here are some events on the South Shore where you can celebrate the Irish this month, leading up to holiday on Sunday, March 17. Sláinte!

The 14th annual Marshfield St. Patrick’s Day 5k road race will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. The race will benefit the Marshfield Education Foundation. Visit marshfieldstpatricksday5k.com for more information.

Starland Sportsplex and Fun Park will host a St. Patrick’s Day party from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 16. The event will include Irish step dancers, a dance-off, bouncy castles, crafts and more. Starland Sportsplex and Fun Park is located at 637 Washington St., Hanover.
