Interactive Dashboards | American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)
To the right you’ll find links to AAAS’ interactive R&D budget dashboards.
These fall into two main types:
The Historical Dashboard allows the user to visualize and manipulate historical R&D spending data for the federal government and the U.S. as a whole. This data is broken out by agency and by character of work, as a share of the budget, and as a share of the U.S. economy. Other R&D funding sources, including universities and businesses, are also included.
The Appropriations Dashboards contain detailed data and information on White House budgets and Congressional appropriations for recent years. Users can compare White House, House and Senate spending proposals for major science and technology programs as the debate unfolds over the spring and summer. Also included is aggregate data on R&D totals as estimated by AAAS, including basic and applied research, development, and facilities, and the distribution among agencies.
