Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo plans events for spring breakers
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Looking for spring break activities? The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is kicking off the season with a new event this year.
Director of Communication Bonnie Kemp says they’ve planned a Spring Preview event on select dates in April, ahead of the zoo’s grand opening on April 27.
Zoo leaders say the events were created to give kids an opportunity to visit the zoo while on spring break. The events will be held April 1 – 7, 13 – 14, and 20 – 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During those times, visitors can see select animals, build a bird feeder to welcome migrating birds, watch animal chats with zookeepers, and enjoy attractions like the Z.O.&O. Railroad ride and the carousel at no additional cost.
The event is free for zoo members and costs $12 for adults and $10 for kids ages 2-12. More details can be found here.
