Stone Hill Ranch hosts music festival and camping to celebrate the eclipse

MAYFLOWER, Ark. – Though the hotels are booked as travelers are here for the eclipse another option for visitors to the Natural State for the eclipse are campgrounds where people have hunkered down for the watch parties.

On Sunday, the Stone Hill Ranch Event Center in Mayflower held an eclipse music festival that hosted lots of campers.

Stone Hill Ranch owner Rusty Walters said the Arkansas way is the right way to celebrate this historic event.

Arkansas native and country singer Marybeth Byrd was performing at the event, doing what she does best.

“I was just like so ready to get back so it feels amazing to be here and to do music again,” Byrd said.

Byrd began her musical journey placing in the top 8 on The Voice in 2019 and top 12 on American Idol in 2023.

“I’m like, I can’t imagine how everyone is feeling such a big event coming to our state,” Byrd stated.

It was a quick turnaround for Rusty Waters, going from a wedding venue on Saturday to an eclipse venue on Sunday.

“Oh the wedding was over about midnight we were up about 2 or 3 a.m. this morning to clean up and pick up and get prepared for this event, and of course we have been preparing for this event for three of four months now,” Waters said.

Live entertainment, food and of course a family fun atmosphere, all geared towards an unforgettable eclipse experience the Natural State way.

“I’m just, I’m excited to be at Stone Hill Ranch, it’s such a beautiful place and be with even more beautiful people so I can’t wait to see how tonight turns out,” Byrd expressed.
