INDIA. In major breaking news, Noida International Airport (NIA) has awarded two of its key concessions to Travel Food Services (TFS), the powerful Indian food & beverage, hospitality and lounge services provider.
Under the partnership revealed today, TFS (which enjoys a long-standing partnership with SSP in India and beyond) will enhance the much-anticipated new airport’s culinary landscape by creating and operating an array of multi-cuisine food outlets, including restaurants, cafés, bars and franchises within the terminal. NIA* is expected to be operational by late 2024.
In addition, TFS will curate what NIA called a “world-class” lounge experience, offering passengers an elevated level of comfort and luxury.
“This strategic collaboration underlines NIA’s commitment to delivering a superior travel experience to passengers,” NIA observed.
The airport company said passengers can look forward to an exciting culinary experience, with a comprehensive range of specially curated options that evoke a Sense of Place, celebrating the diverse and rich culinary traditions of the region.
NIA pledged these outlets will provide “an aspirational yet affordable” dining experience, offering a sense of novelty and freshness.
The lounges will offer an exceptional experience with live interactive food stations, a wide range of buffet options, an experiential cocktail bar, and a spa for relaxation services. The interiors will convey sophistication, warmth and elegance, providing a haven of comfort amid busy travel schedules.
The lounge offer will also include a ‘Luxury Zone’, offering exclusive amenities to provide an enhanced passenger experience.
Noida International Airport Chief Executive Officer Christoph Schnellmann said: “Our partnership with TFS underscores the commitment to providing exceptional hospitality to passengers, elevating the overall travel experience.
“This collaboration is set to be a significant milestone in our vision of transforming passenger experiences at Noida International Airport.
“Our focus remains on forging strong connections with passengers by providing a diverse range of offerings tailored to everyone’s needs and preferences.”
TFS Executive Director Varun Kapur commented: “We are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey in collaboration with Noida International Airport. Our approach aims to draw on the rich legacy, as well as reflect the aspirations of this culturally rich and vibrant region, providing a truly immersive experience for the passengers.
“Recognising the discerning palate of Indian travellers, we have curated a blend of renowned international brands and beloved local favourites to enhance the culinary landscape of NIA.
“With equal passion we look forward to partnering closely with NIA to develop the lounges across the airport that have a strong Sense of Place and a commitment to deliver superlative service levels while welcoming passengers to indulge in the finest culinary offerings as they traverse through the airport in the near future.”
Noida International Airport said the new facility will combine Indian warmth and hospitality with Swiss technology and efficiency to develop a modern, user-friendly design, inspired by India.
The first phase of the airport, featuring one runway and one terminal, will have the capacity to serve 12 million passengers annually. Upon completion of all four development phases, the airport will be able to cater to 70 million passengers per year.
