Once they arrived, EMS began lifesaving measures on multiple gunshot victims.Two victims, identified as 33-year-old Mohsin Hamid and 28-year-old Devonte Johnson, died from their injuries at the scene. Vaughan says four of those homicides have happened at bars. As a result, she says she plans to meet with community stakeholders about finding solutions so people can feel safe while enjoying the city’s nightlife. “People should be entitled to do that,” she said. “We want young people in our community, and we know people like to go out, and have a drink and dance and socialize and that people have an expectation that that will be done in a safe manner.”She says one of her main priorities is holding those in charge of clubs and bars accountable.“Whether it is a promoter, a property owner, a manager, there needs to be accountability,” Vaughan said. “As I said earlier, we need to know that when people are out, that they are in a safe environment.”Keep up with the latest news and weather by downloading the WXII app here. On Friday at 1:20 a.m., the Greensboro Police Department, Guilford County EMS, and UNCG Campus Police were called to Culture Lounge, located at 1707 Spring Garden St., after reports of a shooting. Once they arrived, EMS began lifesaving measures on multiple gunshot victims.
