Milton Arts Guild spring fling expands April 19-21
Milton Arts Guild’s popular spring fling market has expanded to two locations this year. Some two dozen vendors will be selling their art and fine crafts at the guild’s gallery at 107 Federal St., as well as at the nearby Studios on Walnut at 310 Walnut St., Milton.
Spring fling will kick off from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, April 19, and continues from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, April 20 and 21. If weather cooperates Saturday, three guild artists will be painting en plein air along the route between the two venues, adding to the day’s festivity.
“Spring fling has always been one of our most popular events of the year,” said Sue Dutton, Milton Arts Guild board president. “This year, the overwhelming excitement about spring fling inspired us to expand to an additional location – which our friends at Studio on Walnut happily offered – to satisfy the demand.”
Saturday at Studios on Walnut, a children’s table will allow kids to explore their creativity while their parents browse the market.
In addition, a beautiful pastel painting donated by artist Liz Miceli will be raffled off at the Federal Street gallery. The painting began as a demonstration by Miceli at MAG’s annual membership meeting. When she had completed it, she donated the finished work to the guild.
