Giddy up for the Tampa Bay Rodeo and Family Festival
DOVER, Fla. (WFLA) — Saddle up for a wild time at the Tampa Bay Rodeo and Family Festival kicking off this Friday and Saturday.
The two-day rodeo includes bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping and team roping.
“The cowboys and the cowgirls, the youngsters, we all travel together and we go from rodeo to rodeo,” Tampa Bay Rodeo and Family Festival Host and “America’s Favorite Cowboy,” Andre McClain said.
Before the rodeo, visitors can check out several activities like mechanical bull riding, axe throwing and pig racing.
Food, beer vendors and live entertainment will also be available.
“We have Emmet Stevens Jr. joining us both nights. He’ll be playing 75-minute sets each night of live, exciting country music,” Tampa Bay Rodeo and Family Festival Organizer and Event Producer Ryan Henning said.
The festival will be held at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the rodeo begins at 8 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.
