St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pleasanton has set their Ash Wednesday schedule for Feb. 14:

6:30 a.m.- Liturgy of the Word and Ashes

8:30 a.m.- Mass and Ashes

10:30 a.m.- Liturgy of the Word and Ashes

12 Noon- Mass and Ashes

2 p.m.- Liturgy of the Word and Ashes

5:30 p.m.- Liturgy of the Word and Ashes

7 p.m.- Mass in Spanish and Ashes

St. Matthew

Ash Wednesday services for St. Matthew Catholic Church in Jourdanton have been announced. Mass followed by Ash Distribution at 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

St. Ignatius

St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Christine will hold Mass followed by Ash distribution at 5 p.m.

Jourdanton Methodist

Join Jourdanton Methodist Church on Feb. 13 and 14. On Feb. 13, they will hold their Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper from 6-8 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. One hundred percent of the donations will go to upgrading their playground. On Feb. 14, they will have an Ash Wednesday worship service at 6 p.m.

St. Andrew Fish Fry

Starting on Friday, Feb. 16, the Knights of Columbus Council 8001 will begin their annual Lenten Fish Fry. This will take place on every Friday in Lent except for Good Friday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 626 Market St. in Pleasanton.

They will serve from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. for lunch and 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. for dinner. A drive-through lane will be provided for your convenience. Please note that no dine-in allowed, since school will be in session. Limited delivery upon request.

A very generous plate of three large fish fillets, coleslaw, French fries and hushpuppies will be served. Condiments and picnic packs will be provided. Dessert will also be provided by the Guadalupanas at an added cost.

Due to increased cost, plates will be $12. They pray that this will not deter their sales.

St. Matthew Fish Fry

The Knights of Columbus Council #3266 will hold their famous Lenten Fish Fry, beginning this Friday, Feb. 16, at St. Matthew Catholic Church Parish

Hall in Jourdanton. The fundraiser will continue every Friday during Lent, except for Good Friday.

Plates are $12 each and will include delicious fish, fries, hushpuppies, coleslaw and tea. Serving will begin at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. or until they run out. You can dine in to enjoy your meal or take it to-go. Curbside service will be available. St. Matthew Catholic Church is located at 1608 Campbell Ave. in Jourdanton.
