Kelley wins crown in 500: Wildcats places in two events at state finals | Sports

The Wilmington/North Reading High swim teams did well at the postseason meets recently.

Wilmington’s Kyla Kel­ley is the state champ in the 50-yard freestyle and placed third in the 200-yard freestyle.

At the boys sectional event, Cole Falk had two personal bests in the 200-yard freestyle (sixth place) and 100-yard butterfly (third place). Spen­cer Bag­taz had a personal best in the 100-yard backstroke and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Falk, Bag­taz, Dat Tran and Declan Savage also swam to a school-record time.
