Easter Sunday falls on Sunday, March 31 this year, the same day the clocks will spring forward for British Summer Time (BST).
All schools close on Friday, March 22, which is the final day of the school term, unless changes are needed to make up for time lost due to unforeseen school closures.
If a school needs to make up such time, it can shorten the Easter break by staying open, up to and including Wednesday, 27 March 2024.
All schools re-open on Monday, 8 April 2024.

Good Friday is on March 29 and pubs and off-licences will operate normal hours as they have since the ban on selling alcohol on that day was lifted in 2018.
The bank holiday is Easter Monday, which is April 1.
Most employees are entitled to paid leave on public holidays.
While many businesses give their staff a day off on Good Friday, it is not a public holiday so this is not an automatic entitlement.
