How much a pint will cost you on holidays this year

When taking a holiday, the cost of a pint is one of the primary ways tourists can assess the value of their trip when compared to their home country.

At licensed premises in Ireland in January, the average pint of lager cost €6.06 and a pint of stout cost €5.62, representing annual increases of 31 cent and 41 cent, respectively, amid stubbornly high inflation.

The price of a pint in Ireland is among the highest in Europe, where crowdsourced figures from Numbeo show a pint can be significantly cheaper, especially in popular holiday destinations such as Spain and Portugal.
