Noida airport to offer multi-cuisine food outlets, ‘world class’ lounge experience | Business News
Noida International Airport (NIA) has announced a partnership with Travel Food Services Pvt. Ltd. (TFS) to enhance the upcoming airport’s culinary landscape and create a “world-class” lounge experience for elevated comfort for passengers.
Under this partnership, TFS is required to create and operate an array of multi cuisine food outlets, including cafes, bars, restaurants, and franchises within the airport terminal. The lounges will offer interactive food stations for passengers along with a wide range of buffet options, a cocktail bar, and a spa for relaxation services. The lounge will host a special luxury zone offering “exclusive amenities”.
“This strategic collaboration underlines NIA’s commitment to delivering a superior travel experience to passengers,” Noida airport said in a statement.
“Our partnership with TFS underscores the commitment to providing exceptional hospitality to passengers, elevating the overall travel experience. This collaboration is set to be a significant milestone in our vision of transforming passenger experiences at Noida International Airport. Our focus remains on forging strong connections with passengers by providing a diverse range of offerings tailored to everyone’s needs and preferences,” Christoph Schnellmann, Chief Executive Officer, Noida International Airport.
Varun Kapur, Executive Director, TFS, said, “Recognizing the discerning palate of Indian travellers, we have curated a blend of renowned international brands and beloved local favourites to enhance the culinary landscape of NIA. With equal passion we look forward to partnering closely with NIA to develop the lounges across the airport that have a strong sense of place and a commitment to deliver superlative service levels while welcoming passengers to indulge in the finest culinary offerings as they traverse through the airport in the near future.”
Speaking at the Lok Sabha last month, Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the Noida’s Jewar airport will be ready for operations by the end of 2024. Coming up in the Jewar area of Gautam Buddh Nagar district, the airport is expected to serve 65 lakh passengers in a year, as per some estimates.
“Uttar Pradesh had six airports. After the Modi government came to power, we have built four more airports in the state and soon, five more airports will be ready. Jewar airport will also be ready for operations by the end of this year. So by the end of this year, UP will have 16 airports,” he said.
As per the minister, India had 74 airports in 2014 which has now increased to 149.
