2024 Spring/Summer Outdoor Concerts Guide | Mmhweekly

Communities across southern Mecklenburg and western Union County have been releasing summer concert series schedules in recent weeks.

These events usually bring free, family-friendly live music, food trucks and children’s activities to parks like Stumptown Park in Matthews, Chestnut Square Park in Indian Trail and Lake Park in Pineville. Monroe’s Music on Main brings the entertainment to the city’s downtown.

Some of the concerts include popular tribute bands, such as Captain Mike & The Shipwrecked (Jimmy Buffett), Foo 4 You (Foo Fighters), Landslide (Fleetwood Mac), On the Border (Eagles) and Slippery When Wet (Bon Jovi). Other bands, such as Chairmen of the Board and Thirsty Horses, have performed their playlists at area festivals like Matthews Alive.

Stay tuned for more concerts as we publish updates as we get them on Waxhaw’s Jammin’ by the Tracks concert series, as well as from south Charlotte venues like Promenade on Providence, Stonecrest at Piper Glen, The Amp Ballantyne and Waverly.
