Emerald Coast Chamber Music Festival releases 2024 concert lineup

NICEVILLE, Fla. (WKRG) — The Emerald Coast Chamber Music Festival has announced its 2024 concert lineup.

“This year’s festival programming is enticing, I think, because we’re showing off music from
composers we’re mostly familiar with, but not necessarily the music we know them for,” ECCMF Co-Artistic Director and international violist soloist Jacob Clewell said.

This year’s concert series features the ECCMF Artist Faculty in multiple performances, including music by Brahms, Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Florence Price, Masatora Goya, and other longtime favorites.

The second Showcase Concert, which the Artist Faculty will perform with guest violinist Kirsten Yon on May 25, is free.

The festival will conclude with a performance from the Young Artists of the Chamber Music Institute.

The ECCMF Artist Faculty is filled with internationally respected talent, which will be paired with “masterclass Guest Artists, who pull double duty by performing in concerts and teaching the college-aged students of the Chamber Music Institute,” a release said.

The institute is a major part of the festival as participants are picked by audition. Those selected will travel to Niceville from music schools across the continent.
