Free Family-Friendly Earth Week Events Planned In Glen Ellyn
GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn Park District has lined up some fun, family-friendly events to help residents get in touch with nature during Earth Week, which kicks off April 26.
Here’s a look at what’s in store to celebrate the annual event.

April 20
Volunteer Day at Ackerman Woods from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Kids 8 and up are invited to help clean up brush that is invasive to the area.
April 22
Library Storytime at Maryknoll Park at 10:30 a.m. Children ages five and up are welcome to gather to hear stories that teach about the importance of Earth Day.
April 23
Guided Wildflower Walk at Lake Ellyn Park and Benjamin Gault Bird Sanctuary from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Ages 18 and up are welcome to join experts on a guided walk to learn more about the natural flora in each park.
April 25
Migration Morning is set for 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Manor Park. Ages 18 and up can join park district employees to observe and learn about warblers and other birds.
